F1 Grand Prix Tours.Com can provide you with a great opportunity to experience the 2009 FORMULA 1™ ING Australian Grand Prix, as well as the sights, sounds and people of Melbourne. We can offer you a choice of two hotels in Melbourne, a superior 3 star or a superior 4 star hotel (Australian grading) depending on your needs and budget, combined with a choice of general admission or grandstand race tickets, to form the basis of a unforgettable 2009 Australian Formula 1 travel package.

You must book a minimum of 3 nights, which may be extended on request to give you more time to explore Melbourne and its vicinity.

Please note that due to the great free local F1 circuit tram services, to and from the Albert Park Grand Prix circuit, we do not offer our normal coach circuit transfers for Australian Grand Prix. Both the hotels we have on offer are extremely well and conveniently located, only a mere 3.5 km from the Albert Park circuit.

MELBOURNE, VICTORIA AS A TRAVEL DESTINATION

Victoria is the smallest of the Australian mainland states and is situated in the southeastern corner of Australia. With a population of over 4.6 million, Victoria is the most densely populated and highly urbanised of all the Australian states. Victoria's capital is Melbourne with an approximate population of 3.4 million people. Melbourne is set around the shores of the Port Phillip Bay. The city itself, laid out in a large rectangle and boasting a lively and cosmopolitan pulse, sits on the northern banks of the Yarra River, about five kilometres from the bay. Extending around the bay, are a number of inner suburbs, each with its own distinct character and personality. A short tram ride from the city centre into Melbourne's suburban neighbourhoods is a "must see" for anyone wanting to experience what life here is really all about.
